How & where to purchase passes & ticket books

Choose one of these options to purchase passes and ticket books from Metro Transit:

  • Online Pass Sales Store: ORCA Cards, all PugetPasses, Ship-to-Shore Passes, Access Passes, Metro Vanpool/Transit Passes, Metro reduced fare stickers and Metro Ticketbooks, as well as gift certificates* redeemable for transit Passes or ticketbooks.
    • Next month's pass available for purchase by the 10th of the current month.
  • Metro Customer Service offices: ORCA Cards, all PugetPasses, Ship-to-Shore Passes, Access Passes, Metro Vanpool/Transit Passes, Metro reduced fare stickers and Metro Ticketbooks.
    • Next month's pass available for purchase the 15th of the current month.
  • Metro's telephone and mail order office: ORCA Cards, all PugetPasses, Ship-to-Shore Passes, Access Passes, Metro Vanpool/Transit Passes, Metro reduced fare stickers and Metro Ticketbooks, as well as Metro gift certificates* redeemable for transit Passes or ticketbooks.
    • Next month's pass available for purchase by the 10th of the current month.
  • Retail Locations: Select Passes and Metro Ticketbooks are sold at more than 120 locations throughout Seattle and King County. Metro retail outlets require payment in cash and/or valid Commuter Bonus Vouchers.
    • Next month's pass available for purchase the 15th of the current month.
  • Employer Commute Services: Consignment accounts, FlexPass programs, Commuter Bonus Vouchers plus information about tax benefits. Employers can also order regular Passes directly and in quantity by using any of the ordering options shown above.

* Metro Gift Certificates are redeemable for transit passes or ticketbooks only at Metro Customer Services offices or through Metro's mail order service. They are available in select amounts through Metro's Online Pass Sales Store and are available in any amount through Metro's Telephone and Mail Order Office.

To place your order through Metro's telephone and mail order office:

  • You may view or print a copy of Metro's Pass and Ticketbook order form [PDF 634kb, 2 pgs]. (Form effective 2/09) Send your completed order form to:

      Note: Checks, money orders, VISA® or MasterCard® are accepted.
  • To purchase a pass by phone, call 206-624-PASS (206-624-7277) and use your VISA® or MasterCard®. You can use our automated system 24 hours per day, or representatives are available 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday (except Holidays).
  • To request a mail order form be mailed to you, please e-mail us at metro.pass-sales@kingcounty.gov and include your full postal mailing address including ZIP code. We accept personal checks, money orders, Visa® and Mastercard® for mail orders.

Passes go on sale on or about the 10th day of the month for passes valid the following month. Ticketbooks are sold at all times. Pass orders received after the 10th of the month and all Ticketbook orders are processed and mailed (via the United States Postal Service) within 3 business days from the date of receipt. You can order your passes earlier in the month, and your order will be mailed on or about the 10th - if you pay by credit card, your account will not be charged until your order is filled. We must receive your pass order by the 22nd of the month to ensure delivery by the first of the following month.

Please note: All orders of $100 or more and Ship-to-Shore passes are sent certified mail, which requires a signature for delivery. You may have your order sent to your work address if no one will be available to sign for the order at your home address.

Metro is not responsible for delays in the mail.
