Gabrielle J. Hinahara
Gabrielle is a third-year international relations and the environment, and Spanish major. She is interested in the relationship between deforestation, climate change, policy and development. At UW-Madison she helped create an environmental justice course, developed clean energy solutions as an intern with WISPIRG and researched global air pollution transport. She currently volunteers for Greenpeace in Spain and is planning a senior thesis that will explore drivers of deforestation in the Peruvian Amazon. She will spend the summer traveling and volunteering on organic farms across Europe.

It's been incredible to meet so many dedicated and inspiring individuals, all striving to make the world a better place for our own and future generations.
