Sara L. Jackrel
Sara is a junior majoring in biology and environmental studies. She is a national College Leadership Council member for Roots & Shoots, a global youth program of the Jane Goodall Institute, and has started Roots & Shoots groups at her high school and college. She spent the past two summers studying bat behavior in the Texas Panhandle and predator-prey interactions between snakes and grassland birds in the Kansas Flint Hills. She is currently studying abroad in the Wet Tropics of northern Queensland, Australia. Sara plans to attend graduate school in conservation ecology and ultimately continue research in wildlife conservation.

It's been incredible to meet so many dedicated and inspiring individuals, all striving to make the world a better place for our own and future generations.
