Dear Franklin users, Franklin was taken down yesterday, December 3, at 7:30 AM Pacific Time for a major operating system upgrade. We have encountered several software problems related to the upgrade that NERSC and Cray staff have been working on around the clock to fix. Fixes and workarounds have been applied, and our current expectation is to: - Make Franklin available for user logins at about 7:30 PM tonight. You will be able to login, do interactive work, and submit batch jobs, but your batch jobs will not run. Meanwhile, NERSC staff will be running system checkout tests. - Start executing user batch jobs at about 10:00 PM. We apologize that this upgrade has taken longer than expected.
