Major Actions To Date Major Planned Actions
The RRB participated in an interagency Congressional briefing hosted by the Chicago Federal Executive Board on April 8. We were one of 15 agencies that made brief presentations on our Recovery Act projects. Continue work on programming and analysis for one-time Recovery Act payments and for extended unemployment benefits.
We successfully completed a test run of the data matching with the Social Security Administration (SSA) for the one-time Economic Recovery payments. Data matching with SSA will be completed during the week of April 13.
The Interagency Agreement between SSA, VA and the RRB was finalized. The agreement covers technical issues involved with data matching needed to ensure that there will be no duplication of one-time payments to entitled beneficiaries. Plan to issue advance notice to beneficiaries about their one-time payments in late April.
A new CFDA number was assigned to the Economic Recovery Payments program. Plan to issue one-time Recovery Act payments to entitled railroad retirement beneficiaries in late May 2009.
