Subject:	NAG Parallel library usage on gseaborg

Dear NERSC SP Users, The NAG parallel library version 2.0 was installed on gseaborg in June 2000. Please see the announcement at: http://hpcf.nersc.gov/software/libs/math/nag_par/ Software usage statistics indicate that so far no user has made use of this library. Based on the lack of usage, NERSC plans to remove the NAG Parallel library from gseaborg in the near future. The next release, version 3.0, will have 93 new routines but is not yet available for the IBM SP. For more information, see the release news: http://www.nag.com/numeric/FD/manual/html/genint/news_fd03.html NERSC will consider retaining the current version 2.0 and/or install version 3.0 if a strong interest is expressed by the users.
