Subject: Major NERSC Outage October 30

Greetings NERSC User, There will be a major outage of all NERSC systems beginning the morning of Monday, October 30, and lasting up to 48 hours. Please note that the above date is 2 weeks from today. The purpose of this outage is to upgrade the power supplies in the NERSC machine room, in order to accommodate the recently announced NERSC-5 Cray system. This outage will affect all NERSC systems, including the MPP compute platforms, HPSS, PDSF, NGF, and the NERSC website.
