Nominations for the NERSC Users' Group Executive committee |

| Greetings NERSC Users,
We are soliciting nominations for positions on the NERSC Users' Group
Executive
committee (NUGEX). We will run elections in early November to fill the
positions
that are expiring at the end of this year.
Serving on the NUG Executive Committee is a great opportunity to represent
your
fellow NERSC users of the same Office of Science and bring your common
computing
issues directly to the NERSC's staff and managers. There is very little
travel
associated with the positions since most of the meetings take place over the
phone.
The terms are for 3 years and with the arrival of the NERSC-5 100-Tflops
computer,
"Franklin", the next 3 years promise to be very exciting!
We need representatives for the following offices:
- 3 for Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR)
- 2 for Biological and Environmental Research (BER)
- 3 for Basic Energy Sciences
- 1 for Fusion Energy Science (FES)
- 1 for High Energy Physics (HEP)
- 1 for Nuclear Physics (NP)
