Subject: NERSC 2006 allocation year extended; new ERCAP deadline

Greetings NERSC PIs and Project Managers, DOE has decided to extend NERSC's 2006 allocation year from September 30, 2006 until January 8, 2007. We have therefore extended the ERCAP submission deadline. The new deadline for 2007 requests is Wednesday, October 18, 2006, 11:59 PM Pacific Time. For information on the allocations process: http://www.nersc.gov/nusers/accounts/allocations/ The plan is that the new allocation year will always start on the second Tuesday of January. Additional time will be allocated for the remainder of the 2006 allocation year. The date for this to happen has not yet been set.
