Subject: Problems with totalview on seaborg

This is addressed to users of the totalview debugger on seaborg. Several totalview users have recently reported various problems with totalview. We have found that these problems disappeared after they recreated their $HOME/.totalview subdirectory in the way described below. How to recreate your .totalview subdirectory: # Go to your home directory: cd # Rename the existing .totalview directory: mv .totalview totalview.old # Run totalview and exit from it immediately. This will create a valid # new .totalview subdirectory: module load totalview totalview It will be necessary to reset any preferences that you have set.
