This is the decision of the Railroad Retirement Board
regarding the continued status of the United Railway Supervisors
Association as an employer under the Railroad Retirement Act (45 U.S.C. §
231, et seq.) (RRA) and the Railroad Unemployment Insurance Act (45 U.S.C.
§ 351, et seq.) (RUIA).
The Association was held to be a labor organization employer under the
Acts effective August 27, 1986, (B.A. Number 8938). On December 30, 2000,
the Association merged into the United Transportation Union/Yardmasters
Division, also a labor organization employer under the Acts (B.A. No.
8936).
Accordingly, the Board holds that the Association ceased to be an employer
under the Railroad Retirement and Railroad Unemployment Insurance Acts
effective with the date of the merger, December 30, 2000. |
