Number of nominations. You may nominate up to six candidates for the 2009 competition. We encourage
you to nominate students for all or any of the categories: environment, tribal public policy, or Native American health care.
Nominees in both the tribal public policy and Native American health care categories must be Native American or Alaska Native
and provide appropriate documentation.
Nomination Materials. It is the nominee's responsibility to provide the faculty representative with:
- A completed, signed Udall Scholarship Application;
- An 800-word essay;
- A current official college transcript and transcripts for other colleges attended;
- Three letters of recommendation.
The application must be submitted on forms from the Foundation's website or on photocopies of these forms. Recreated
forms and attachments of additional information will not be accepted.
Submission of nominations. Institutional Nomination through our online registration system is required for each
candidate. Faculty representatives must register each nominee online at
http://facultyreps.udall.gov. On line registration opens February 1, 2009, and
closes March 1 at 12 a.m. Faculty representatives who have not received a user name and password by January 15, 2009 should
contact the Foundation.
It is the faculty representative's responsibility to submit all the candidate's nomination materials, including transcripts
and letters of recommendation, in one packet with the Institution Nomination Form to the Foundation by the deadline. The
complete nomination package must be received by March 3, 2009, at the Scholarship Program, Morris K. Udall
Foundation, 130 S. Scott Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85701.
