Fox Sedge
Fox Sedge
Fox Sedge (Carex vulpinoidea)

Description: Fox Sedge is a wetland sedge which grows to form clumps two feet in diameter by two feet tall. During the midsummer, the brown and yellow seedhead spray out from the center. The Fox Sedge is an extremely adaptable plant; growing in a wide variety of moist to wet soils.

Planting: Sow seeds fresh, in the fall, or moist stratify and plant in early spring.
