FMCSA Calls for Removal Of 300 Cargo Tanks From Hazmat Service

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration on December 12, 2001 announced that it had identified more than 300 cargo tanks equipped with rear-end protection devices like this that do not comply with specifications in the federal hazardous materials regulations.  FMCSA required that these tanks be removed from hazardous materials transportation service.
