Eating Healthy in 2009
If one of your New Year's resolutions is to eat healthier in 2009, consider these changes in how you cook for yourself and your family:
Physical Activity Tip of the Month: Adult
What counts as aerobic activity? Aerobic activity or "cardio" gets you breathing harder and your heart beating faster. Pushing a lawnmower, biking to the store and taking a dance class are all types of activity that count if you are doing them at a moderate or vigorous intensity, for at least 10 minutes at a time. Intensity is how hard your body is working during the aerobic activity you are doing. Light activities such as shopping, cooking or doing the laundry don't count as your body isn't working hard enough to get your heart rate up. More next month...
