Junegrass
Junegrass
Junegrass (Koelaria cristata)

Description: This is a dry prairie plant, only growing to a couple of feet at the tallest. It has a dense, silver-green seedhead. In some northern prairies, it is a dominant grass. Works well in most dry or slightly mesic sites.

Planting: Sow unstratified seed in the fall or stratified seed in the spring. Division also works well, and the transplants can be planted in the fall or spring.
