No matter what size office, how many employees, your level of employment or your budget – IPMA-HR has a member category that meets your needs!
Membership Categories:
Agencies (Covered Staff Members)
U.S. Agencies: Agencies currently conducting public HR functions at a Federal, State or Local level, special district or school district. Dues are based on number of staff you wish to be covered* by membership. (See Membership Fees).
International Agencies: Agencies currently conducting Public HR functions located outside of the United States.
Associates: Independent consulting groups or other for-profit or private sector companies. Dues are based on number of staff you wish to be covered* by membership. (See Membership Fees)
New HR Professionals: Enroll your new HR staff members (with fewer than 5 years in the profession) in IPMA-HR at a special $50 individual online membership rate. This special online membership offers all the same member benefits that you and your covered staff already receive—they’ll just receive their member benefits online. Sign up today!
*Covered staff of Agencies and Associates will receive all the benefits of membership including publications, discounts and access. Staff who are not covered do not receive these benefits. Covered staff must be submitted with membership application. You can upgrade your membership and add staff at anytime.
Individuals*
Individuals: Individuals employed by an agency and currently working in the Public HR field or are currently unemployed and looking for work in the field.
Consultants: Individuals employed by independent consulting groups or other for-profit or private sector companies.
Online Members: Anyone who qualifies as an Individual member but wishes to receive all of their benefits online only. Online members receive no print-only publications.
Emeritus Members: All individuals fully retired from personnel work that are no longer employed or acting as consultants.
*Individual memberships cannot be transferred. Membership belongs to the covered individual, not the purchasing agency.
Students
Any full-time graduate or undergraduate student, or any person participating in a formal public service internship program sponsored by a recognized academic institution. All benefits are accessed online only. Student members receive no print-only publications. Cannot currently be employed by an HR agency.
Chapter Affiliate Members
Join your local IPMA-HR Chapter and become a Chapter Affiliate Member. As a Chapter Affiliate Member, you will receive the following benefits: the weekly HR Bulletin, which was rated as one of the most valued IPMA-HR benefits in a recent membership survey, and the IPMA-HR member rate for all professional development activities.
