11.  MRI-Guided Radiotherapy for Prostate Cancer
(Posted: 04/11/2006) - In this phase I trial, doctors will study the side effects and determine the best dose of a new treatment for localized prostate cancer called intensity-modulated external-beam radiation therapy.

12.  Preventing Bone Fractures in Prostate Cancer Patients
(Posted: 09/07/2004, Updated: 02/28/2006) - This study will evaluate the ability of zoledronic acid (Zometa®), one of a family of drugs known as bisphosphonates, to prevent fractures and other bone complications when administered at the same time as or shortly following androgen deprivation therapy.

13.  Targeted Combination Therapy for Advanced Solid Tumors
(Posted: 07/19/2005) - In this study, researchers are assessing the safety and combined effectiveness of bevacizumab and a second drug called sorafenib. Both bevacizumab and sorafenib inhibit the formation of blood vessels to tumors and may act synergistically when combined.

14.  Hormone Therapy Plus Chemotherapy For Prostate Cancer
(Posted: 01/11/2005) - In this trial, researchers are investigating whether prostate cancer patients who receive chemotherapy at the start of androgen blockade live longer than patients who receive chemotherapy only after androgen blockade has stopped working.

15.  Vaccine Therapy for Advanced Prostate Cancer
(Posted: 11/23/2004) - The researchers conducting this trial have developed a comprehensive vaccine-based immunotherapy regimen that targets prostate-specific antigen (PSA), a protein made by both normal and cancerous epithelial cells of the prostate.
