Management of Change 2004

E-Government and citizen services and how to move both to the next level will be the primary topics of discussion at the 24th annual Management of Change conference, taking place May 24-26, 2004, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

This year’s conference, with the theme Citizen Services: Attaining Breakthrough Performance, is expected to draw hundreds of industry executives and government officials and is the first national conference on citizen services. The Management of Change conference will spotlight GSA’s role as the federal government’s face to the citizen through critical efforts like USAGov, USAGov en Español and USA Services.

Co-chaired by M.J. Jameson, Associate Administrator for GSA’s Office of Citizen Services and Communications, the conference will offer a forum for attendees to share experiences and voice opinions to create a path to real results. Workshops on benefits, healthcare, travel and recreation, business and commerce, and homeland security will enable state, federal, and local officials to craft strategies for delivering a higher level of performance in citizen services.

Prominent officials from the Office of Management and Budget, the U.S. Postal Service, the City of Philadelphia, Pew Internet & American Life, and other industry and government organizations will also speak.

The conference is sponsored by the American Council for Technology, formerly the Federation of Government Information Processing Councils.
