The federal government’s official web portal, USA.gov, has a new face that makes it easier for users to find government services faster.

Using the new slogan “Government Made Easy,” USA.gov has taken guidance from user testing, which showed a need for reduced clutter, more audience related information and features that bring the most popular government sites to the homepage.   New functions such as "email this page to a friend," and "receive updates to this page by email” help keep users updated on government information and programs.

In the Spanish version – GobiernoUSA.gov – Latino users tested the site and provided guidance on bringing quicker access to federal resources.

New USA.gov features include:

  • Text size selection on every page;
  • Improved search engine;
  • FAQ answers based upon answers from many government agencies;
  • House and Senate spotlight feature that includes contact information, voting records, and other helpful links.

As the U.S. government's official web portal, USA.gov makes it easy for the public to get U.S. government information and services on the web. USA.gov also serves as the catalyst for a growing electronic government.
