Abstract: (CIT): Jessie Saul will be presenting this year's Stetten lecture, with Dr. Harvey Klein. Ms. Saul's talk will be based on research she has conducted on blood safety at the NIH during her year as the DeWitt Stetten Jr., Memorial Fellow in the History of Biomedical Sciences. The History of Blood Safety Practices, Policies and Property at NIH, 1945-2003 Location: Lipsett Auditorium, NIH Clinical Center (Bldg. 10) BRHIG is open to everyone interested in the history of biomedical research at NIH or elsewhere. In addition to the presentation and discussion of work-in-progress, the group will serve as a forum for discussion of issues of common interest, such as the identification and development of source materials; the uses and pitfalls of oral histories in research; and collaborations between historians and the biomedical community.
