Aircraft Accident Investigation Program

  • Provide medical consultative services to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and FAA Flight Standards District Offices (FSDO) in their investigation of aircraft accidents within the region.
  • Obtain and interpret autopsy and toxicology information as requested by NTSB and FAA officials.
  • Forward human factor information on accidents and incidents to the FAA's Civil Aeromedical Institute (CAMI) for research purposes.
