Self Guided

You have several options if conducting a self-guided field trip to Fort Pulaski. These options include:

  • a traditional self-guided tour of the fort using the park brochure and signage posted around the fort. Allow 45 minutes.
  • a 17-minute video shown every half-hour at the visitor center.
  • A self-guided scavenger hunt of the fort, with directions. Allow 40 minutes.
  • A musket-firing demonstration--at 12:00 noon only. Allow 25 minutes.

If you are planning a self-guided field trip, please remember to send a completed fee waiver request to the park. You will receive a written confirmation (by email or fax) for your fee waiver. Please bring this confirmation with you on your field trip and present it at the park entrance booth.
