National Capital Access Forum

The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) at the U.S. Department of Commerce and Capital Access Forum are collaborating to host The National Capital Access Forum.  The conference will provide a venue for addressing some of the acute financing issues facing minority businesses. These problems have been exacerbated by the current economic and financial industry crisis. As the nation's leaders in business and government seek emergency measures to stabilized the financial system and stimulate the economy, the Forum will identify solutions for minority businesses.

The Forum will address the financial and economic crisis, its nature and scope, and it will survey the measures taken to address the problems and identify those areas that offer opportunities for minority businesses. Experts from the financial services industry, government, and congressional leadership will recommend survival and growth strategies in the current environment. Specific initiatives to stimulate minority business capital access will be introduced, discussed and refined.
