April 2009 , 147th Battle Anniversary

 

 

On April 11th & 12th, 2009, Fort Pulaski National Monument will commemorate the 147th Anniversary of the Battle of Fort Pulaski with a special two-day living history event. Cannon firings, guided tours, and special talks will help tell the story of the Union and Confederate soldiers who fought for control of this once invincible fortress in April 1862.
