Fire / Aviation Information

 
  Scenes from the November 2004 Lucy Brook fire, the largest wildland fire on the White Mountain National Forest in the past 50 years. It burned 140 acres and was probably caused by a hunter's warming fire.

WMNF Fire History

The Forest provides support to fire detection flights by the state. We host fire training and coordinate with local fire fighters to stand-by during high fire danger season to support the National Fire suppression efforts.
