Special symposia at SJDM and SMDMPresenters are sought for special symposia this year at the annual meetings of the Society for Judgment and Decision Making (SJDM) and Society for Medical Decision Making (SMDM). The format of these symposia will be somewhat unusual, as we will be connecting "guest" researchers with "host" researchers in the other Society and encouraging the development of collaborative presentations that seek to connect the work of the two Societies with one another. We believe this will be an excellent opportunity for scientists in basic and medical decision making at all career stages to make new connections, as well as a stimulating scholarly session at each meeting.Proposals to be a guest presenter are due May 30, 2009. With support from the National Science Foundation, we expect to be able to provide travel and lodging support for guest presenters; the Societies will provide complementary meeting registration for guest presenters and host collaborators.
