EPA is currently in the process of developing TMDLs for several waters in California. EPA is developing these TMDLs in cooperation with the State of California, pursuant to consent decrees which require EPA to establish certain TMDLs for water bodies in California.

Draft documents for EPA-established TMDLs will be posted here when they become available.

Los Cerritos Channel Metals TMDLs—Draft for public review

EPA is establishing the Los Cerritos Channel Metals TMDLs in lieu of California because of consent decree obligations. EPA is providing the public the opportunity to review these proposed TMDLs. (See public notice and draft TMDLs document below.)

The deadline for submitting comments is on or before January 22, 2009. We will prepare a responsiveness summary that demonstrates how public comments were considered in the final TMDL decisions. The responsiveness document will be available at this website when the TMDLs are established.

Public notice regarding EPA proposed TMDLs for Los Cerritos Channel Watershed.

EPA is establishing Metals TMDLs in freshwaters of Los Cerritos Channel. EPA is providing the opportunity for public review and comment on the proposed TMDLs. The deadline for submitting comments is on or before January 22, 2009. See the attached file for public notice and website link to the draft TMDLs documents.
