Nonpoint Source Programs and Success Stories in the Southeast

Region 4 States and Tribes are awarded Section 319 Grants to support a variety of nonpoint source (NPS) program activities including technical assistance, technology transfer, monitoring, demonstration, outreach and educational projects. These program activities are designed to reduce NPS pollution (polluted runoff) from scattered sources in the environment, rather than from a specific outlet such as a pipe (point source).

Region 4 NPS Programs and Success Stories

Region 4 programs and projects have received national recognition and are featured on the EPA Headquarters Section 319 Nonpoint Source Success Stories web site. This web site includes waterbodies identified by states as being primarily nonpoint source-impaired and having achieved documented water quality improvements.
