Pollution Prevention

"Pollution prevention" (P2) means reducing waste and conserving resources at the point of generation or use. Increased efficiency and quality, along with reduced costs, can result when these potential losses are managed before they require recycling, treatment or disposal. P2 can involve changes in inputs, processes, products and practices. Less toxic inputs and reduced waste volume also can mean easier compliance.
