The Refuge
Support Group (Friends) Program was started in 1996, with a collective
goal of building a network of private citizens and volunteers dedicated
to protecting our country's wildlife heritage. Guiding principles
of the program are community partnerships provide significant contributions
to the growth and management of the National Wildlife Refuge System;
they facilitate public involvement in refuge planning and management.
