David W. Bradley, Ph.D.
Technology Development Coordinator, NIDCR
Mission
This office is responsible for technology transfer from the intramural research program at the NIDCR. Our ultimate goal is to improve public health by facilitating translation of research into practical benefits.
We promote further research on projects of interest to NIDCR investigators. Material exchanges with extramural scientists and for-profit companies heighten the impact of NIDCR research, enabling new hypothesis to be formulated and tested. NIDCR research is evaluated for possible inventions and potential licensees are identified.
We coordinate with other Institutes within the NIH to ensure consistent application and promotion of NIH policies. We work closely with the Office of Technology Transfer (OTT), encouraging further development of NIDCR research through licensing agreements with companies in the private sector.
We facilitate execution of a variety of legal agreements and documents, including Employee Invention Reports (EIRs), Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), Clinical Trial Agreements, and Confidentiality Agreements (CDAs).
