Final Interim Approval of South Coast Carbon Monoxide Plan

On April 2, 1998, Regional Administrator Felicia Marcus signed a final action granting interim approval of the plan for California's South Coast (greater Los Angeles area) to attain the air quality standard for carbon monoxide (CO). The plan was submitted in February 1997, and includes emissions inventories, air quality modeling, and control measures to show how the area will comply with the health-based federal CO standard by the year 2000.

No comments were received on the proposed approval,* which was published in the Federal Register on December 5, 1997.
