Flu Fears Dominate a Week of Big Events
A story that suddenly emerged from nowhere, the threat of a global influenza pandemic, sent the media into overdrive last week. From April 27 - May 3, the swine flu, or H1N1 as it officially became known, accounted for nearly one-third of the newshole (31%) studied, according to the Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism.
