Fire can be used to provide a natural appearing landscape for the park. With proper planning and execution, prescribed fire can manipulate vegetation to produce healthier habitats as a background for the developed zone of the park. At the same time fuel management, using both mechanical means and prescribed fire, can reduce the risk to cultural and historic structures.
