C. 20242 March 26, 1969 4037 0001 GROUND WATER BRANCH TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM NO. 69.10 To: District Chiefs and Staff Officials From: Chief, Ground Water Branch, WRD Subject: SOCIETIES - American Institute of Mining Engineers, National Convention, February 1970. The Society of Mining Engineers, a part of the American Institute of Mining Engineers (AIME), has established a Committee on Ground Water Hydrology with the purpose of ensuring interest in the many aspects of ground-water hydrology that relate to mining practices. The Committee is seeking technical papers for the National Convention of AIME, to be held in Denver during February 1970. In past years, the Water Resources Division has maintained strong technical ties with the mining industry through its pertinent field investigations and by participation in technical programs of the AIME. Division personnel conducting hydrologic investigations related to mining are encouraged to consider seriously this call for papers. Inquiries and candidate topics should be sent to the Ground Water Branch. (s) Gerald Meyer for C. L. McGuinness WRD Distribution: A, B, S, FO, PO
