The National Enforcement Investigations Center (NEIC), Electronic Data Analysis Team (EDA), is a complimentary team of highly skilled computer specialists trained in forensic data analysis, computer seizure and data recovery. In addition, NEIC's EDA team is constantly developing new tools for gathering and analyzing electronic evidence of environmental violations, so that NEIC can continue to provide state-of-the-art EDA into the 21st Century.

Along with the ability to provide on-site computer forensic services, including computer seizure, the team has the ability to provide EDA services, specifically in two areas, 1) laboratory fraud and fraudulent data reporting, and 2) specialized electronic data recovery and analysis.

Laboratory fraud and fraudulent data reporting is an area of great concern to both EPA and other environmental regulatory agencies. The team has the expertise and the ability to provide specialized forensic electronic data recovery and analysis services.
