1. The National Network for Environmental Management Studies (NNEMS) (EPA HQ)

   NNEMS is an internship program that encourages students in all academic disciplines to pursue professional environmental careers. It provides students with the opportunity to gain a valuable educational experience while conducting an actual environmental research project. 2. New England Intern/Volunteer Program

3. Tribal Lands Environmental Science Scholarship Program

   The Environmental Education Division administers the Tribal Lands Environmental Science Scholarship Program to encourage Native American college students to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees in the environmental sciences. EPA created this program with the hope of increasing the number of Native Americans employed by the Agency to improve the environmental protection of Indian Lands. Since 1991, more than 220 students have received scholarships totaling nearly $1 million to pursue environmental science degrees.

4. Environmental Careers Organization

   Through a partnership with the Environmental Careers Organization, EPA employs students to work on a variety of environmental projects which complement their career goals. In several instances, these internships have resulted in full-time positions.
