Environmental Asssessment

The purpose of this document was to disclose the expected effects to the environment of various alternative building designs and sites for the proposed South Rim emergency service building. The National Park Service (NPS) proposed to construct a building to house structural fire protection, search and rescue (SAR), and emergency medical services (EMS) operations in the Grand Canyon Village area of Grand Canyon National Park, Coconino County, Arizona. Public Comment period for the EA ended June 25, 2001.

The Environmental Asssessment South Rim Emergency Services Facility is available in two formats, as a PDF file and as a text file. PDF files retain the look and feel of the original document (including typography, page layout, and graphics), text files do not.
