Vista Hill Foundation, Bridges Adult Intensive Outpatient Program, $100,000 for two years.
Community health is one of Alliance Healthcare Foundation’s top funding priorities. This grant to Vista Hill Foundation for the Bridges Adult Intensive Outpatient Program targets men and fathers who require assistance with substance abuse as well as parenting education and related topics. Vista Hill Foundation offers these gender-specific services for working fathers in the evenings and on weekends. Key program components are intensive group therapy, workshops on addiction and recovery, case management, and individual therapy.
San Ysidro Health Center, PODER Breast and Cervical Cancer Education and Screening Program, $158,728 for two years.
Alliance Healthcare Foundation’s top funding priority is access to healthcare. This grant to San Ysidro Health Center is for the expansion of the successful PODER Breast and Cervical Cancer Education and Screening Program to all four of the health center’s sites. It will provide education, screening and referrals for treatment to an additional 2,400 low-income, uninsured Latinas, 25 years and older in the South Bay area who have not been screened for breast or cervical cancer.
Child Abuse Prevention Foundation, on behalf of Child Welfare Services of San Diego County, Family Finding Services for Runaway Youth, $25,000 for one year.
Julian Union High School District, Julian Pathways Case Management, Health Insurance Enrollment & Outreach, $25,000 for one year.
