Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to correct the Budget and Project Period information AND text within the Research Objectives section for PA-08-188, Integrating Behavioral and Sociocultural Research to Prevent HIV Transmission and Infection (R01) (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-08-188.html).

Budget and Project Period: In the Executive Summary, the Budget and Project Period information for this FOA is corrected by replacing the following text:

“Budgets for direct costs of up to $50,000 per year and a project duration of up to two years may be requested for a maximum of $100,000 direct costs over a two-year project period. Ex. Budgets with direct costs up to $500,000 per year and project duration of up to five years may be requested”

with the following text:

“Budgets for direct costs of up to $500,000 per year and a project duration of up to five years may be requested for a maximum of $2,500,000 direct costs over a five-year project period.”

Research Objectives: The Research Objectives section for this FOA is corrected by replacing the text “The R21 research opportunity invites…” in the first line of the second paragraph with “The R01 research opportunity invites….”

All other aspects of this FOA remain unchanged.
