Research Interests/Duties

My general research interest is in the ecology of amphibians and reptiles, with a particular interest in behavioral ecology.

I am currently finalizing my Master's thesis research at Humboldt State University. My thesis research is focused on the temporal breeding patterns and mating strategy of the foothill yellow-legged frog (Rana boylii), a California State Species of Special Concern. Concurrent with this research, I have collected data regarding other aspects of the reproductive ecology and post-breeding movement patterns of this species.

I am a student employee (SCEP) with the Timber Management/Wildlife Habitat Interactions Unit (RWU-4251) at Redwood Sciences Laboratory. Here, I have had the opportunity to contribute to various amphibian and reptile projects. I have been involved in all aspects of research including data collection, data analysis and manuscript preparation.

Until recently, in addition to my research duties, I was an active member on the PSW Station Civil Rights Committee.
