ABOUT US

RESEARCH AREAS

The Timber Resource Analysis Systems team contributes information to regional and national assessments of forest resources by focusing on how various activities affect resources across the landscape. Biological, climatological, and human forces shape the forests of tomorrow. Through collaboration and research, the team works to improve our understanding of how investments in forest management, large scale disturbances, levels of harvest, and changes in land use interact and impact the resource. The resulting analysis and tools contribute to a comprehensive view of our Nation’s forest land and improve knowledge available to the policymaking arena.

Team Member: Jean Daniels, Geoff Donovan, Judy Mikowski, Debra Warren, Di Johnson
