sediment sampling; videography
Information to be Derived
Grain size analysis;
Summary
19 sediment grab samples were collected. 4 additional
sampling attempts yeided no sample. No one from USGS participated in
the cruise. Amanda Maness (UNCW, grad student)oversaw collection of
sediment samples and shipped them to K. Scanlon (USGS, Woods Hole)
for grain size and carbonate content analysis. Other data (video by
ROV, biological data) were also collected during the cruise, but are
not archived at USGS.
23 Stations Occupied.
Got Help? For 05040, we would appreciate any information on -- activity type, analog materials, contract, days at sea, dive count, funding, kms of navigation, national plan, NGDC Info, notes, owner, project number, publications, scanned materials, seismic description, station count, station description, submersible, tabulated info.
