AnAtomic Dawg
"AnAtomic Dawg" is the most recent installation in the Athens-Oconee Junior Women's League Who Let the Dogs Out art project. "AnAtomic Dawg" is adorned with colorful anatomically correct paintings of bone and muscle structure and with the veterinary Aesculapian on its chest. The statue was painted by local artist John Ahee and sits in the student lobby at the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine. Contributions from the Class of 2009, along with a gift from Nestle Purina, paid for the dog statue. Ahee also donated his artistic talent and time to paint the sculpture.
