U.S. Agencies
On May 18, 2004, President Bush signed an Executive Order creating the Great Lakes Interagency Task Force to coordinate the restoration and protection efforts of ten federal agencies. Together, these agencies administer more than 140 federal programs. EPA's work is coordinated through the Great Lakes National Program Office.
