Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products: State of the Science

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) helped conduct the "Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products: State of the Science," conference in Portland, Maine, on August 8-9, 2007. The conference provided a forum for presenting relevant scientific information and research results on fate and transport of pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCP) in water resources. The results of USGS research on the fate of pharmaceuticals and organic wastewater compounds was presented at the conference.
