OPR: Geologic Division
1. General. These procedures are to implement the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, Executive Order 11514, Protection and Enhancement of Environmental Quality, as amended by Executive Order 11991, and the regulations of the Council on Environmental Quality implementing the procedural provisions of NEPA.
The policy of the Geological Survey is that enunciated in 516 DM 1. Responsibilities of officials of the Geological Survey are those presented in 516 DM 6, Appendix 2.
The implementing procedures of the Geological Survey are those in 516 DM 2-7 and 516 DM 6, Appendix 2.
