The Division for Aging Services in the State of Nevada,
Department of Health and Human Services, represents Nevadans
aged 60 years and older.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Division for Aging Services
is to develop, coordinate, and deliver a comprehensive support service
system in order for Nevada's senior citizens to lead independent,
meaningful, and dignified lives.
We assist our seniors in
every step of the service continuum from safeguarding their rights,
fostering their self-sufficiency, providing counseling to advocating on
their behalf.
The Division has offices in
Las Vegas, Reno, Carson City, and Elko with approximately 200 employees
in these locations.
The Division issues grants to over 70 agencies statewide totaling
over $13,000,000 a year.
