TrailHead: Marble Mountain Sno-Park
Scenic Attractions: Magnificent views reward those who travel 4.5 miles along Trail 8300 to the Lava Canyon Viewpoint. On May 18, 1980, the eruption of Mount St. Helens created abundant room for snowmobiling, skiing and snowshoeing. A wet, cement-like slurry of rock, mud, and water (called a lahar) rushed down the southeast side of the volcano, scouring out a vast area. Snowmobilers, skiers and snowshoers share Trail 8300; please use caution and be courteous to each other.
Remarks: Goat Marsh Research Natural Area, the Mount St. Helens crater, and Spirit Lake basin are closed to snowmobiles. Violations of 36 CFR 261 may result in confiscation of equipment, fines up to $5,000.00, and/or six months in jail.

Volume Of Use: Low - The trail (road) is washed out below the snowpark.  No crossing is possible. The other end of the loop (2 miles out the 83 road), is still open.

TrailHead: Marble Mountain Sno-Park
Scenic Attractions: This groomed, but winding trail, leads to the summit of a dormant volcano, Marble Mountain, but grooming stops at Four Corners. You will be treated to views of the snow-capped peaks of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier, and Mount St. Helens. Follow Forest Road 8312, 4.5 miles up to this beautiful Cascades viewpoint. Snowmobilers, snowshoers and skiers can enjoy this trail.

Scenic Attractions:

Snow-covered lava flows, a cascading waterfall, and a towering white volcano await you beside the beauty of June Lake. The trail gently rises through a young fir forest to June Lake; a perfect place for a picnic!

Scenic Attractions: Three separate ski loops on this trail system offer something for everyone. This trail system is perfect for large groups and families with a wide range of skiing abilities. These ski loops provide wonderful views of the glistening white volcano.

TrailHead: The Swift Ski Trail has two trailheads, one beginning at the Sno-Park (access to winter climb of Mount St. Helens); the second trailhead (244A) begins 1/2 mile north of the Sno-Park on trail #245E or Forest Road 83.
Scenic Attractions: A strenuous uphill ski is rewarded by beautiful views of Mount St. Helens. Remember, what goes up must come down! Enjoy a fun-filled ski back down one of the Swift Trail Loops.

Access: I-5 to State Route 503 through Cougar, Washington, to Forest Road 90 to Forest Road 83 to Forest Road 83/8312, Marble Mountain Sno-Park.
Scenic Attractions: Four sequential loops of varying length are provided with ample access to all, from Forest Roads 83, 8312, and Trails 245E and 245. The terrain is flat and the loops are short. Beginners will not tire too rapidly while exploring this Wapiti "maze" of forests, meadows, and mountain views.

Scenic Attractions: This trail provides a snowmobile-only connecting route between the Sno-Parks, providing a snow-covered route around the plowed portion of Forest Road 83. The trail is marked with orange diamonds. Snowmobile bridge now exists to cross Swift Creek. The remainder of the plowed Forest Road 83 is closed to snowmobile use as required by State law.
